Since our establishment in 2013, People in Need has been steadfast in its mission to address the challenges faced by the Philippines. Our journey began as a response to the catastrophic Typhoon Haiyan locally known as Yolanda, one of the strongest storms ever recorded. This cemented our commitment to the Filipino people. In a nation characterised by political conflicts, social tensions, and widespread poverty, impacting a significant portion of its population, we have channelled our efforts into three core pillars: Civil Society and Inclusive Governance, Climate Resilience, and Emergency Preparedness, Response, and Recovery. These areas exemplify our commitment to catalysing transformative change, fortifying resilience, and extending support with the shared goal of shaping a more promising future for the Philippines.
